How does it work?

The Pico Laser delivers rapid energy pulses that range from picosecond to microsecond pulses. These quick and powerful pulses effectively break down tattoo and permanent makeup pigment.

What can I expect during the treatment?

Our laser delivers short, quick pulses of high intensity light directly into the tattoo ink and pigment. The light is absorbed into the skin without harming the surrounding tissue. The ink of the tattoo is broken down into smaller particles, which fragment and slowly dissolve. The body naturally expels the broken ink particles over a few weeks. Depending on the size and location of the tattoo, a Tattoo Removal session at Remedi Spa is a quick service, however, you will most likely require multiple sessions.  You will feel some discomfort during your treatment however the pain quickly dissipates. The number of treatments needed varies based on ink color and depth.

What are the results?

Removing a professionally applied tattoo is a process that requires a series of treatments. Treatments are recommended to be scheduled anywhere between 4-6 weeks apart. During each session we will increase the intensity of the laser to fragment and destroy the ink a little more. Blistering and scabbing often follows and is completely normal. Tattoo lightening takes place within 5-6 sessions and complete removal can take up to 10-12 sessions. Color, size, and depth of tattoo ink may affect overall results.

Is Laser Tattoo Removal safe?

Tattoo Removal is very safe. Clients should be able to resume their normal activities immediately after the treatment.  The most important part of the tattoo removal process is the homecare.  Following the post treatment homecare instructions will drastically reduce any potential side effects and/or scarring.

You Will Be Emailed And/Or Texted The Day Before To Confirm Your Appointment. As A Courtesy To Our Clients And Staff, It Is Company Policy For All Clients To Give 24 Hours’ Notice Of Cancellation. Failure To Do So Will Result In A 50% Charge Of Your Scheduled Treatment. Clients Who Miss Their Appointments Without Giving Any Prior Notification Will Be Charged In Full For The Missed Services.
